Yesterday while scrolling for some inspiration for our terrace I stumbled with a photo of a peacock chair, and I had such a flashback to my grandma’s house because she used to have two of them when I was growing up. You know how it goes: one click led to another and here I am as a result writing my first blog post about the much loved and impact worthy peacock chair.
First of all lets start with some of the stunning pictures I found that served for inspiration for this post, they all feature the throne like chair:
Why that name? Well the throne like chair’s back resembles a male peacock’s fantail when they are trying to get noticed. Scale is such an important element in interior design, and even though this chair seems like it would be too imposing due to its size the weaving of the rattan doesn’t make it to heavy for the space you want to use it in, it will even helps accentuate or bring out elements in the composition in which the chair is featured.
Feeling inspired by the inspiration pictures? Here are resources to where you can find the peacock chair in some of the colorful variations and also the traditional natural rattan finish:
- black peacock chair from WORLDMARKET
- yellow peacock chair from LEAANDLANI
- red peacock chair from LEAANDLANI
- traditional rattan peacock chair from HAYNEEDLE (out of stock)
In conclusion I can just see these chairs in different rooms and different decor styles, probably the beauty of this chair is its versatility, it seems like they will come in and make you feel like a queen in her throne and I can guarantee that everyone will be talking about your peacock chair.
